I loved this book when I was a child. I love this first trailer for the Spike Jonze directed version of Where the Wild Things Are - complete with "Wake Up," the fantastic Arcade Fire song - check this amazing version of the same song. I can't wait to see this. Enjoy.

Tim, as a hopeful future Elem. Media Specialist a.k.a. School Librarian, I am so excited about this coming out as a movie. These days our culture is so backwards that often a book has to come out as a movie for it to get much readership. I know this book and most of Sendak's books are well known but I am still repeatedly shocked at the lack of readership that the students have who I am working with.

Whatever it takes to get parents to read to/with their kids!!!!!

Tim! this is why we are kindered souls... my facebook wall has been a-buzz and a-glow with expectancy for this film and how much it characterizes, symbolizes, and moves the heart... the rush of images and realization met with the vision of jonze who is just wonderful... ha i have seen and i have heard and i am glad that the word be spread!
