Testing the New iPhone Typepad Application
It's been a crazy full couple of weeks, one of which was a great family vacation in South Dakota. You truly can't believe how beautiful SD is. I'll post a few of the 600+ pics I took there in awhile.
In the meantime Apple released the new iPhone 2.0 software update this morning on iTunes. My favorite upgrade is the Application Store with hundreds of third party applications. Thus this post: Typepad released a free app for posting remotely from an iPhone. I pulled the .jpg Apple logo from my iPhone photo library and have typed out this text in approximately four minutes. Not bad. We'll see how it works.
I like Apple.
[Update: So it works pretty well, with a few caveats. First, it is impossible (as far as I can figure it) to know how the .jpgs will load. Obviously the one above is huge and highly pixelated so I will have to figure that out (I am going to leave as is for illustrative purposes though it is driving me crazy). Second, once you post from the Typepad application, that is it: no editing, no deleting. WYSIWYG. Even so, good stuff.]

hey bro... i am SO bummed, my blog is on wordpress, so i'm hoping they come out with an app. iPhone 2.0 rocks, i was able to immediately do the microsoft exchange upgrade and it has worked like a charm... contacts, calendar and email all perfect. i put the paypal, ebay, facebook and banking apps on, and they all work... have you been able to use them on edge? mine doesn't work on edge, just wi-fi... anyway, overall, very impressed, and not sure if 3G is in my future or not... there were HUNDREDS of people in line in chicago on friday and saturday to get 3G, it was CRAZY. enjoy your trip....

Hey Tim --
Did your vacation take you through Sioux Falls? If at some point you decide to come north again, drop me a note. I'd love to buy y'all lunch.

Hey J - read a rumor that Wordpress is about to release a blogging app for the iPhone.
Greg - we spent two days in Sioux Falls at a family reunion. We had a great time. I grew up going through to reconnect with my mom's family. I love South Dakota. First time in all the years of going up there I went west across I-90. I want to buy a motorcycle, go back, and continue into Wyoming for awhile. If I do, I'll warn you and we can grab lunch.
