Updated 6:30 p.m. CST: Well, easy come, easy go...just got an e-mail from the gentleman who interviewed me:
It was really great talking with you today about jacobswellchurch.org.
I have just been told that the length of our segment has been cut in
half, so now I don't think that we will be able to mention the Jacob's
Well Web site in our story today. However, there is a very good
possibility that we will run another segment similar to this one in the
near future. I will definitely keep you posted, and please keep me
updated with new developments in the Web site.

So I've been talking for the last couple of weeks in sermons about hiddenness and the need for it in an age of exposure. Ironic then that a story ran in the Wall Street Journal, online edition, yesterday about churches that use the web as an integral part of their community. It is free to view for today, then I think you have to sign up for it. I was interviewed last month for about thirty minutes by a great guy from the WSJ, Andrew Lavallee. Here is the link to the
article. It is always amazing to me what 30 minutes of conversation gets whittled down to. The quote wasn't quite right, either...but, more on that later.
Then today I received an e-mail from Eric Weisbrod from CNN wanting an interview for tonight's "Situation Room" on the same topic. I just got off the phone with him. Sometime between 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. CST tonight Jacob's Well's web-site will be highlighted on CNN. I always love the chance to brag on our boy,
sco, web genius extraordinaire, and the people of Jacob's Well.
Here are a couple of links connected to the Wall Street Journal article from others mentioned in the WSJ article.
Web 2.0 Churches and the same blogger who gets a mention in the WSJ article in a blogpost called
A Quote in the Journal.
The last link in your post is broken.

I had a guy e-mail me from Michigan about our upcoming midrash-blog. I was wondering how he found out about us. Could be this was it.

Thanks for the heads up, Larry. Try it now.

Still doesn't work, you have a " at the end of URL. Get rid of that and it should work.

Thanks Larry - I was actually missing the initial " - now it is working
