I do think this was the first time I had been to a 'good friday' service. I really don't care for 'tradition', having grown up and abused in a traditional system.
however, this service was just so fitting. it felt like a wake, or a funeral service...so empty and actually awkward. All weekend I felt a bit empty; so did my husband. Not depressed of course, because we know the end of the story..but so freakin' real. This little jewish/God guy...i'm beginning to see Him...and see His death. amazing...thanks for the reality of it all. (ps...also very fitting that this day's blog is registered, but empty.)
